Building on those years of direct work with clients, families, and care professionals, Precious founded Royal Family Homecare LLC in March 2021. Her vision is personalized home care that builds trust, preserves dignity, offers companionship, and helps every client feel safe, respected, and valued at home.

When someone living with dementia repeatedly calls out or shouts at night, their distress deserves attention. It may be a way of communicating a need they cannot easily explain.

Approach calmly, offer reassurance, and check comfort, toileting needs, lighting, noise, and room temperature. Avoid arguing about what the person believes they see or hear. Note when the distress happens and any recent changes to share with their healthcare team. Do not change medicines without the prescriber's advice.
Sudden or rapidly changing confusion or behavior needs immediate medical attention. Do not assume it is simply dementia or sundowning; it may be delirium or another treatable problem. Call 911 for immediate danger, trouble breathing, stroke signs, or difficulty waking the person.

Caregiver burnout is real. Caring for someone can be meaningful and rewarding, while also placing demands on your body, mind, and emotions. Your health and well-being matter too.

Ask trusted people to share care tasks, arrange breaks with safe care coverage, and stay connected with people who support you. Make time for your own health appointments. If exhaustion, pain, sleep problems, or distress persist, talk with a healthcare professional.
